“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” – Maya Angelou

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Maya Angelou. Her novels were some of my adolescent favorites. She was, and her memory remains to be, a guiding source of perseverance and finding self-worth. To me, her greatest legacy will be the lesson that we “…are the sum total of everything [we]’ve ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot – it’s all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that […] try to make sure that [our] experiences are positive.”

Ok back to bar studying. I just needed to take a moment to recognize the loss an exquisite woman.
